CacheBack Certified Examiner (CBCE) The CBCE certification process was introduced in response to many users wanting to be formally recognized for their proficiency in the use of the CacheBack software, especially for court purposes. Users who attend our 3-Day instructor-led hands-on training course will appreciate the true complexity of Internet cache mapping systems and how CacheBack investigates and interprets these encoded repositories of evidence. In order to pursue the CBCE designation, candidates must be licensed users of CacheBack AND attend the "Advanced Internet Browser Forensics - Using CacheBack" training course. The CBCE process involves a 1-hour examination that is administered at the end of Day 3 of the course. The CBCE certification is taken seriously and is not handed out simply for attending the course. Candidates must demonstrate their competency with the software and must meet a minimum percentage on the examination. Each examination is randomized for each candidate to ensure the integrity and fairness of the certification process. What's involved in the examination? Candidates must answer a series of multiple choice questions using a combination of knowledge and skills that were developed over the 3-days. The examination itself is done electronically and employs the use of in-class training materials as well as the CacheBack program itself. A mark of 80% or higher is required to qualify for the CBCE designation. Test results are provided immediately upon completion. Candidates who are successful at completing the CBCE examination will received a Certificate of Certification that will be valid for 2 years from the date of issue. Renewal requirements are still being developed but will reflect common practices by other vendors in the industry. What does it cost? The CacheBack Certification examination is only available to course attendees and is provided at no additional cost. Individuals who do not pass the first examination can choose to re-write the test, online, at their leisure. An administration fee of $195 USD is required for each re-write. |
