Checking The Basics: Security Permissions
CacheBack is designed to work closely with files and file permissions. Sometimes users may try to examine Internet history and cache files on the existing system and using the existing user profile. This is certainly prone to problems because Windows hides the related sub-folders and therefore prevents artifacts from being imported into the program.

There are two ways to get around this problem. The first and preferred choice is to use our new standalone data mining tool called CacheGrab that circumvents this problem altogether. Alternatively, users can open a DOS command prompt and type in the following: ATTRIB -A -H -S C:\MyTempFolderName\*.* /S /D. This will remove any System, Hidden and Archive attributes from the specified folder and contents.

Reporting A Problem
If a solution to your problem is not able to be found, then contact us through our online form and provide us with the following information:

1. A detailed description of the problem or error message.
2. A detailed description of the steps required in order for our support staff to recreate the problem.
3. In many cases, we may require copies of your original source data. This is often the BEST means for us to be able to pinpoint and resolve     the problem. If that is the case, we can setup an FTP account so you can safely upload large files.
